'Before The Tide Comes In' is a dark comedy exploring the themes of mortality and how we judge others from their outward appearance. Set on a desolate beach, buried up to their neck in sand are two people. ‘Undeserving’, is in her late 40s. She has chosen to be there and is at peace with her fate. Two metres to her left, facing the concrete wall is ‘Deserving’, a criminal who has been punished with the same sentence. What will they say, with only 20 minutes left before the tide comes in?
Joshua is incredibly excited to announce that Arthouse Jersey is supporting the film, alongside MyWy an organisation set up by Jersey actor Jonny Labey who is producing a behind the scenes video for the film.
We're currently looking to raise a further £2000 towards:
- Original music and soundscaping for the film
- Editing and Colour Grading the film
- Festival entries across the UK
Josh is working alongside Jersey-based Cinematographer Will Jack Robinson to bring the film to life. There are two characters in the film played by Jersey-based actress Cathy Sara, known for ‘The Woman In Black’ and Anthony Bessick appearing in the upcoming Netflix series ‘The Irregulars’.
