Story

Laptops for Learners

There are a significant number of primary aged pupils who don’t have access to the technology they need to study properly from home.

Some pupils are sharing one laptop between four other members of their family. This makes learning from home really challenging for everyone.

We wanted to ensure that as many young people as possible in our community have access to the tools they need to learn effectively from home, during the 2021 Lockdown.

We’re encouraging our local community to join our ‘Laptops for learners campaign’.

We’re kicking the campaign off today by gifting 22 laptops to our four local Buckingham primary schools. Sadly this won’t meet the level of need from within the community and so we are challenging our local businesses and organisations to match this by donating money to buy an even greater number of laptops.

For every £5000 we raise we can provide another 20 laptops.

Let’s give our young people the tools they need to learn. And show them that we can overcome challenges if we collaborate and pull together. Hopefully this will inspire them to be enterprising and think of their own innovative ways to overcome challenges in the future.

Join our Laptops for learners campaign today.
