This is the fifth year of the Government's slaughter of British badgers in the misguided belief that it will stop cattle contracting bovine TB. They themselves have admitted that the culls are not working and the science has always said it won't work. Yet still they persist - increasing the numbers they want to kill from a few 1000 to 30,000 this Autumn - wasting tens of millions of pounds worth of taxpayers' money in the process - in a time of austerity?!

I went down to help protect the badgers from this insanity in 2013 and 2014 and I am desperate to go down again to help do whatever I can to save this protected British species. I am asking you, to find it in your heart to help me achieve my goal by contributing to the cost of my transport travelling down from Scotland and within the cull zones, and supplies for two weeks out in the fields of England. Any surplus raised will be donated to other groups on the front line of the cull. Maybe you want to go too but circumstances prevent you? Well, let me represent you: basically I am willing to put myself in the firing line on your behalf.
