£360raised of £350 target by 27 supporters

Weʼve raised £360 to help fund Beach Rangers

Funded on Wednesday, 31st July 2019

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

To help raise money for Beach Rangers, me and my 4 other team mates, are entering the Bristol Nightrider challenge. This involves cycling 100km throughout the night of Saturday 6th July 2019. To find out more about Nightrider, visit this link here:

Beach Rangers aims to engage and educate the Plymouth community on the importance of our local marine sites through positive messages of its interest and biodiversity. The Beach Rangers Project is part of a regular summer programme run by the Marine Biological Association (MBA), a charity/learned society that aims to promote scientific research into all aspects of life in the sea.

It’s so important for children to get outside and explore their blue spaces which is why we are fundraising money for this project. Your money will give communities the chance to learn about their local marine environments, resulting in a connection that will further encourage protection of these important habitats.

Every year the Beach Rangers is such a huge success, with last years project engaging with over 4000 people through free beach sessions, sensory workshops and school assemblies. Any amount of money raised for this project is going towards such an amazing cause and hopefully we can smash this target and raise even more.

You can find further information about Beach Rangers on their Facebook page @MBABeachRangers and follow them on Twitter (@PlymBlueSound) for more details about past events.
