In memory of the amazing Ted Buddi Waring who died earlier this year we will be providing "Ted buddi" benches to schools and public areas to help with lonelyness and help with people's mental health.
We will be installing the benches in schools and teaching the youngsters the importance of including everybody in games and to involve anyone left on the bench, also teaching staff to chat to anyone who may be struggling go include themselves and act as advocate for them.
In public areas we will be installing them with QR codes with links to the BE MORE TED website (currently under construction) which will give links to local mental heath charities (for all kinds of reasons, bereavement, addiction, age concern, money problems etc) and a blog were people can arrange meet ups on the bench and meet new people for walks etc.
