Story

Last year I pledged to raise money for Claire House Hospice, an amazing charity that cares for children that really need it. As a parent it's hard to imagine the situation of families that Claire House help, and it's all I can do to count my blessings and help a little. However, last year I got an injury that meant the half marathon plodding I'd planned wasn't possible, and it's an injury that isn't getting better. I'm not a distance swimmer. I last rode a bike when i didn't have a car. But I do have a capacity for mind numbing repetitiveness and a stubborn streak....

So on the 16th June I'll be taking on the Paradise Island Adventure Golf Course. For 13 straight hours - from 10am to 11pm I'll be putting, with the aim of beating 540 holes - that's 30 rounds of the course, and a hole every 90 seconds for the 13 hours. The guys at the course say it's a bit mental, so that sounds about right.

You can't come along and cheer me on the day I'm afraid, it's not allowed, but what you can do is sponsor me. Any donation welcome for a great cause, and a daft idea.

Thanks

Ben
