Story

In June me and a very good friend, Graham Barber, are going to embark on an adventure which will push us to our limits. We are going to undertake a walking version of the 4x4x48 challenge, this consists of walking 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours!!! Our start point for this adventure will begin in Birmingham and end in and around Ledbury!!! 😬. We will be carrying all our supplies with us and will be camping out under the stars during rest periods; no inside accommodation for us.

I have decided to undertake this challenge to raise as much money as I can for Hereford, Worcester, Birmingham and Gloucester special care baby units. Both of my daughters (now 9 and 4 years of age) needed specialist care from these units when they were both born 5 weeks premature on each occasion. If it wasn’t for these units and the incredible staff working within them, my girls my not of survived. I can never thank these units and all of the amazing staff enough for their wonderful hard work and extreme efforts to care for my children and keep them alive and healthy.

As a way of showing my appreciation and gratitude I wish to raise as much money as possible for these units and staff so they can continue to support families just like mine.

Graham is supporting me in this incredible journey as he's a good friend, slightly crazy and loves a challenge.

Please donate whatever you can, no matter how little it maybe. Every penny counts and it will all add up. You or someone you know may one day the specialist care and support these units offer.

Please show us your support, cheer us on and spread the word.

Thank you and wish us luck!
