Story

I am raising money for my forthcoming month long overseas expedition to Madagascar in July/August. Whilst I am in Madagascar I will take part in a community project to help supply a small rural Bara Village with water which will greatly improve the living conditions in the village. To supply water to the village, I will be helping to lay several miles of pipes from a water source in the National Park to the village. It will be very hard, strenuous work but hopefully it will be very rewarding for me and the villagers.

My reason for wanting to go on this expedicioton is too help improve the lives of people less fortunate than me. I will be living in the village and learning more about the culture of Madagascar and about the villagers' way of life.

One of the greatest challenges of going on the expedition is raising the funds. I have been applying creative thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit to fundraising. I have sold things on eBay, I have been working hard in McDonalds, I have committed birthday and Christmas money to the fund over the past 18 months and I have managed to raise a substantial portion of the money I need.

However, I still need to raise more money and I have decided to do a sponsored bungee jump. The Bungee jump is on the 3rd June 2018. I will be jumping off a 160 ft crane over a lake in Bray. I would be grateful to anyone who would be willing to give me a pound or two to do this jump and help me get to Madagascar.
