Story
Raising money this year for the Breast Cancer Charity, based within Northumbria NHS Trust at Wansbeck Hospital.
On the 4th September Ben Hood, Chris Barron and Gareth Cruci will be walking St Cuthbert’s way, the 100km long distance walking route across the Scottish Borders to the Northumberland Coast following in the footsteps of St Cuthbert.
Ben, less than two years after having a total hip replacement – will be walking the route in memory of his mother-in-law Sheena Cain. Gareth is walking the route on behalf all of friends and family who have touched by cancer and Chris in memory of Eric Larkham and all the great beer, stories and friends he introduced him to.
Starting at Melrose, on the Scottish boarders and ending at Holy Island, off the coast of Northumberland we hope to raise money for 4Q cancer - who are raising money this year for the Breast Cancer Charity, based within Northumbria NHS Trust at Wansbeck Hospital.
All money raised will support breast cancer patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
