Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page,
I'm a former Royal Marines Commando preparing to undertake a world record attempt to complete the most amount of chest-to-ground burpees within a 24-hour period. This challenge is driven by the enduring values instilled during my service in His Majesty’s Royal Marines: self-discipline, courage, strength, determination, and cheerfulness in the face of adversity.
This extreme physical undertaking will push the limits of human endurance and resilience. Beyond the personal challenge, the record attempt is being carried out to raise vital funds and awareness for selected charities, transforming individual perseverance into tangible benefit for others.
This endeavour is not solely about breaking records, but about giving back, inspiring resilience, and demonstrating what can be achieved through purpose, commitment, and unwavering determination.
The current World Record is 9,119 chest to ground burpees in 24hrs, which means that I will need to be completing approximately 380 per hour to beat this target.
10,000 is the target meaning I’ll require to hit 417 per hour.
The following charities are who I have decided to raise funds for.
1. Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND)
2. Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC)
3. Overgate Hospice
Many thanks for taking the time to read my story.
