I've raised £350 to To decorate the communal lounge in a young people's supported housing accommodation.
Organised by Ben Lethbridge
Branching Out Newark is a housing provider for young people aged 16-21, who have become homeless or have left care.
We house around 27 young people and during a recent tenants meeting, they decided that they would like to decorate and furnish the communal lounge.
The lounge is used by the tenants, former tenants and visitors as a social hub. They use it to watch TV, play video game and just chill out.
During the meeting the young people decided that they wanted to raise money to do this and have all decided to take part in a 5 kilometre fun run.
This will take place on the 23rd of June 2018.
We are hoping to raise our target and the tenants will decide on the colour scheme and furnishings.
