Charlie was an amazing young man - He went to sleep on Friday the 20th January and he didn’t wake up. He was just 15 years old. Charlie is missed every single second of every single day.

Charlie’s passions was biking – He was the under 16 National Cyclo Cross Champion, he was destined to follow in his Dads (Nick Craigs) footsteps.

Charlie inspired me, he got me hooked on cycling, not the same type as Charlie , mine was Road biking, but he gave me the bug, and told me I could do it. He always joked about when I would start shaving my legs!! Charlie – I have mate!!!

Nick, Sarah and Tom have started a charity in Charlie’s memory. Its aim is to help young people who want to take part in some form of off road cycling. To be able to give others the opportunity, via funding to compete, take part and follow in Charlie’s footsteps.

So my Dad and me and hopefully a whole host of other willing people!!!! Are going to cycle from Lands End to john O Groats….that’s 1,407 Kilometres… in 48 hours!!! Using 2 bikes set up outside the pub car park at the Scotsman’s Pack in Hathersage. We will set off at 15.00 on Friday 15th September and finish at 15.00 on Sunday 17th September back in the Scotsman’s car park!!

So we have slots going to anyone willing to come along and have a pedal. We have hour slots through the night and 30 minute slots through the day – Its £5.00 for a 30 minute or £10.00 for an hour or as much as you can manage, As well as donating through my just giving web page.

It’s only a small thing, but we want to show our support to Nick, Sarah and Tom and raise as much money as we can for the ‘Ride for Charlie’ charity

It would be amazing to see as many people come along the Scotsman’s Pack, School Lane, Hathersage, S32 1BZ – between Fri 15th September at 15.00 right through to 15.00 on Sunday 17th September to show your support or get on a bike!
