I've raised £1000 to We are raising £1000 for a players Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) experience with the NRL’s Gold Coast Titans.

I am privileged to be player coach of Wakefield Trinity PDRL. Alongside two of my teammates, captain Darren Dean, and inspirational young Player Connor Lynes I have been selected to represent Trinity in on a once in a lifetime trip to Australia where we will train and play alongside our Australian physical disability rugby league counterparts.
As a child I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. This mainly effects my balance and coordination, as such i wasnt a gifted athlete. Through support from my family i found my way into rugby league. I enjoyed around 6 years of age group rugby, and without wanting to be cliche, sport became such a big part of my life, and the support of my PE teacher ultimately steered me into my current career path as a teacher.
Ultimately, open age rugby wasnt something i felt i could acess due to my issues, despite my love for the game. Luckily I fell into coaching at my former club, Stanley Rangers. Coaching and watching people develop is and was thouroughly rewarding, But its not the same as playing.
Last year the concept of Physical Disability rugby league began to take off in this country, and after a conversation with Craig Shepard at the Wakefield Trinity Community Trust, I found myself playing with and coaching an inspIrational group of people who have their own challenges just like myself.
We have come a long way, and just to be playing again is something i never thought would happen. To many in rugby league, Australia is the pinnacle of the sport, and the opportunity to go and test myself against the PDRL equivalent, as well as reperenting my great team mates and our growing sport in the uk would be a dream come true.
Any and all donations to help get me there are greatfully recieved.
