Story
Thanks for coming this far to have a look at my cause, I'll try to keep this brief!
I'll be heading out to East Africa between July and September this year with a charity called Education Partnership Africa. They take uni students out to rural schools in Kenya or Uganda and invest money (that we raise before we go) directly into projects that develop the schools' very limited resources and facilities like teaching materials and classrooms. This will be carried out at a single school where I will be placed in either Kenya or Uganda for 10 weeks. I haven't yet been allocated a school but will post on here which one when I find out.
The money I raise, I will take out personally and will put straight into work on improving the school with guidance from people higher up in the charity. In the past these sorts of projects have given schools much better equipped libraries, clean running water and IT facilities, all of which help kids directly and improve their prospects immeasurably. EPAfrica is a registered and reputable charity that has seen real success with these projects over the last 25 years they have been running. Go have a look at their website if you are interested; http://epafrica.org.uk
I need to raise £900 in total so lets try get as close to that as we can. Please get behind me, we will make a real difference!
Thank you x
