Lucas Was born with Spastic Quadraplegic Cerable Palsy, which affects all four of his limbs, he is wheel chair bound and unable to move his legs.

Every day things like changing a nappy are becoming impossible due to the Stiffness in his lower limbs.

He has undergone several courses of Botoz in his legs which helped for a few days. Alder Hey have now said he needs an Selective dorsal rhizotomy operation which is procedure that treats muscle spasticity caused by abnormal communication among the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Spasticity most commonly affects patients who have cerebral palsy.

Unfortunately, this is not funded by the NHS. We are trying to raise some money to help contribute towards Lucas' operation. The challenge will be to climb Mount Snowdon, no matter what the weather conditions are. Any donation is welcome, no matter what the value is. He is a very happy 6 year old but is now asking 'why can't i walk like everyone else?'. His dream is to play football. However, due to his condition, he is not able to do so. So we're fundraising to enable him to have the operation, that one day we hope his dreams may come true, and he may be able to kick a ball!
