Story

On Tuesday 6th April we sadly lost our much loved Andy Savvides after a 3 year battle with Cancer. Andy was a well known and respected face in Leckhampton, running his family business, Andy's & Co barbers on Bath Road with his son Zak and his good friend Steve. Andy was a cherished son to Ann and Andy Senior, loving father and best friend to Zak and Harrison, and father to Georgie. Adored partner to Su and gorgeous little brother to Tina and Helen. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Andy's wish was that a bench could be placed on Leckhampton hill in his memory so that anyone wishing to remember him could do so with a lovely view and a place to sit. Therefore, Instead of flowers, we are looking to raise funds in order to commission a bench for Andy. We would therefore ask for anyone wishing to make a donation towards this lovely memorial, to do so here. All donations are welcome and appreciated. Any funds over the cost of the bench will be donated to FC Lakeside Youth Football. This is where Andy was a coach and where his eldest son Zak played and his youngest son Harrison currently plays.*

Due to the restrictions around COVID, the funeral will be strictly limited to 30 people but the family would welcome anyone wishing to pay their respects to do so on Wednesday 28th April. The funeral procession will be led by a horse drawn carriage along the Bath Road and will pass by Andy's & Co at 1.10pm. It would be great to see as many people as possible there to pay their respects but would ask that you ensure social distancing.
