Story

As some of you may know last summer I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma. This came the day before my amazing little man was born; what a 48 hours that was! Between August and January I had 3 different types of chemotherapy, none of which had any effect on the disease. A visit to a specialist in London led to my biopsy being re-analysed and it turned out I had been mis-diagnosed; I actually have Hodgkin lymphoma. So, I am now on a new drug called Brentuximab which will, fingers crossed, produce some form of a response so I can move towards having further chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. However if there is still no response, the next best option is to combine Brentuximab with another drug... which unfortunately would not be funded by the NHS. This would cost around £10,000 per treatment, and I could need a lot of treatments if it proves successful... therefore I am asking for your help! Any contribution towards one of these treatments would be gratefully received; the support I have had throughout this process has been overwhelming and if you cannot contribute at this time I would appreciate 'good thoughts' just as much. To any of you that can contribute... thank you, thank you and thank you some more!
