Story
Our Benefice has continued to reach out to our parishioners and the local community of Caerphilly and the Aber Valley throughout lockdown as well and continuing much of our charitable giving to support other worthwhile local and worldwide organisations. And this has continued to happen this year whilst our funds are limited.
Fr Ed, Ordinand Ruth and Philip/Dill (Barbara’s son) are leading the way to raise much needed funds for our Benefice Churches. They will each be running a 10K on Saturday 5th December 2020 (following distancing guidelines).
Fr Ed says “I’d much rather be dancing of course, but I hope this initiative gives us chance to come together in a different way…and some donations for the Benefice would make my running so much more enjoyable! Please support us if you are able.”
Ordinand Ruth says "like so many people, I have found that getting out into the fresh air has helped me to stay well and to cope with the lockdowns we've had this year. I'm glad to have had this run to train for, and would be so grateful if you would sponsor us. Your support will mean a lot to us on the day, and will help to support our Benefice for the future."
Philip (Dill) says “I started running five years ago and I’ve found it’s a great way to keep your body and mind healthy, especially through lockdown. Running the 10k is something I’m looking forward to doing as a challenge and a great way to raise much needed funds for the Benefice Churches. Please support our run 🏃♂️”
Please do help support them and us to raise funds to continue to grow the work of our Benefice.
