I've raised £400 to to help me compete in the Island Games held in Gibraltar in July 2019

I am 18 years old and currently a student at Christ the King College. I have been interested in sport since a very young age and joined the Isle of Wight Athletic Club at 9 years old where I became very passionate about athletics. I have competed in a variety of athletic disciplines over the years as I love both track and field events. I have won a total of 13 medals in the Hampshire Athletics Championships: pentathlon, 400m hurdles, javelin, 1500m steeplechase, hammer and discus. I have also represented both Hampshire and Hampshire Schools at many inter-county events. In 2017, I finished 20th in the English Schools U17B Multi Events National Championships.
I have also worked hard to overcome injury and achieve good results in my academic life, attaining good grades in GCSE and AS Level. I am currently studying Psychology, Biology and Mathematics at A Level. I plan to study Biological Sciences at university whilst continuing to compete in athletics and have chosen universities with good athletics facilities.
I am excited to have been selected to compete in the Island Games in Gibraltar for 400m hurdles, 400m and 4x400m relay. I would have been selected to throw javelin also but unfortunately this event is not taking place in Gibraltar.
The Island Games is fully self-funded and I would be grateful if you feel able to help support me to be the best that I can be and represent the Isle of Wight in an International event.
