Despite Uganda’s wealth in natural resources, living conditions for large sectors of the population remain very difficult.

Additionally, Uganda is an extremely young nation, nearly half of the country's population is younger than 15 years of age on average.

In Uganda, 2,700,000 children have lost either One or Both their parents!

Thousands of Ugandan children are growing up without adult guidance and care because of malnutrition and deteriorating health issues due to poverty.

The national poverty level has increased, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics public figures now puts the total number of poor Ugandans who cannot afford three meals a day to 8 million!!!

    What's the Plan?

To raise up to £500 pounds alongside the Gowie Family Foundation Project, in order to sponsor children in need facing harsh poverty conditions, due to loosing their parents to the AIDS epidemic.

    The Gowie Family Foundations Goals:

    • Annual School Sponsor Ship

    • Supplying Education Materials

    • Daily Supported Living

Once the money has been raised, we will be able to provide the following:

    • Quality education

    • Healthcare

    • Nutritious food

    • Clothing and toys

    • All the things necessary for a bright future

    What’s been Accomplished?

So far, the Gowie Family Foundation, has contributed to a local village in the Rural Part of South West Uganda, Masaka Kitengeza. Working a long side, the local village borough councillor we have accomplished the following:

    • 100 village children have been supplied with Education Materials.

    • 100 village Children have been supplied with sanitation and nutrition products for daily Supported Living.

    • 6 under privilege children have also been funded for Annual School education

After witnessing the severity of child poverty first-hand. We have been determined to Kick Poverty Back! To help raise funds we are organising an annual football tournament starting Saturday 8th of May 2020.

Join us in the sprint to kick start the game against Child Poverty!
