I am running a half marathon to raise funds for a trip to the Gambia. I will be part of a group of students from St John's 6th Form going to Gunjur, in the Gambia. We will spend 3 weeks there, contributing to a construction project of the local community's choosing. The Marlborough Brandt Group, a local charity which supports Marlborough's link to Gunjur, planned the trip, and we are going as part of the MBG's development program for the Gunjur and the surrounding area.
