Weʼre raising £350 to support my school trip to walk coast to coast across Costa Rica and take part in a community project and a turtle conservation project

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

In June I am taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge walking 24 miles in one day during a 12 hour hike to raise money for our school trip next summer to walk and bike across Costa Rica from the Pacific coast to the Caribbean coast. Whilst there we will be taking part in a local community project along the way and climbing to heights of over 7,000 feet in the heat and humidity, trekking through the jungle before reaching the Caribbean coast where for three days we will be helping with a Turtle Conservation project. It will be a tough challenge but hopefully an incredible experience.

I am 16 years old and studying for my AS levels. Next year I am part of an expedition to Costa Rica with school. I love wildlife, the environment and conservation, so Costa Rica really appealed to me as it has an amazingly diverse range of wildlife and huge forests and jungles.
