Story
Meet James Gilliver, a valued Friend of the Bennett Architectural family who has dedicated over 20 years to our company, overseeing our IT department with expertise, dedication, and an ever-helpful spirit. James is known for his kindness, his willingness to go the extra mile, and his integral role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Now, James is facing the toughest battle of his life—a battle against Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
MND not only takes a toll on the person diagnosed, but it also places immense emotional, physical, and financial strain on loved ones. The cost of treatment, therapy, and home adaptations is overwhelming
How Your Support Will Help
By donating, you will be giving James the chance to live with dignity and comfort during this incredibly challenging time. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference. Your generous support will help:
- Home Modifications and Stair Lift: One of the most significant needs is a £25,000 integrated home stair lift to provide James with wheelchair access and mobility within his own home. This essential equipment will allow James to maintain some independence and ease the physical challenges of his daily life.
-Provide peace of mind for James and his family, knowing he is receiving the best possible care
-Support ongoing therapy to preserve James' mobility and communication abilities
Our Snowdon Challenge for James
To raise awareness and funds for James' care, our team at Bennett Architectural is embarking on a challenge close to our hearts. On 25th October 2024, we will be climbing Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, in honour of James’ strength and resilience in the face of MND. This climb represents the uphill battle that James and all those affected by MND face every day.
We invite you to support us on this journey—whether through a donation, cheering us on, or sharing this campaign with others. Every step we take will be fuelled by our hope for a better future for James and those living with MND.
