Story
Bennett Construction is committed to serving and supporting the local community where we live and work and we get involved with local initiatives and charities. As a local employer we want to play our part in the areas where we have projects, and our aim is to raise money for charities that support projects in the local communities.
So, with that in mind on the 13th of April 2019, members of our London site teams are going to hang up their boots and hard hats in exchange for trainers and take part in the Tough Mudder 5k in Finsbury Park.
Tough Mudder is an endurance 5k in which we will attempt to take on 13 obstacles that test mental and physical strength.
The charities that we are fundraising for at this event include:
• The AHOY Centre Charity
• TURN2US
• St Paul’s Church & Church of the Good Shepherd Foodbank
The AHOY Centre Charity
"Shipmates is a youth volunteer programme: for 8 to 18 years, giving disadvantaged and/or at risk youth the opportunity to flourish on and off the water. The scheme develops skills from basic team work to leadership whilst gaining RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and BR (British Rowing) national qualifications."
