Story

During a recent holiday, it was noticed that Benny (Julie & Kevin’s' youngest child, aged 5) wasn't feeling well, so a trip to the local walk-in centre was in order. Following this visit they were told to go to King's Lynn Hospital for a scan, on the way home. This scan revealed an issue and before they knew it, they were off to Addenbrookes Hospital for a further scan. After the CT and MRI scans Julie & Kevin were given the devastating news that Benny has DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) . In other words, cancer of the brain stem. If he reacts well to the steroids to reduce the fluid around it then he will be able to have radiotherapy to try to slow down the growth.

Anyone that has had the good fortune to know Julie, Kevin and all the family know that they are one of the best. I personally have known Kevin since 1985 when we met at High School, he has always been full of fun. Since the awful news about Benny broke, I have been contacted by some old school friends that also knew Kevin. We all want to do what we can to help Kevin and his family.

We would love nothing more than to help fulfil a dream and send Benny and his family to Euro Disney . Please give what you can to help make this dream come true and create some happy memories.
