Hi,

My name is Ben Sewell. I was diagnosed with a rare form of liver disease (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis - PSC) with no known cause or cure. I was eventually placed on the liver transplant waiting list and amazingly after 9 months I received a suitable donor liver and underwent a successful transplant; late September 2016.

My first goal is simple: Pay what I owe. I do owe so many people and organisations so very much, my life for one. Being able to see my wife and son again, is another.
My second goal is harder: Raise awareness for PSC and NHS Organ Donation. Get more people signed up as donors; as the numbers are woeful compared to those in need. Dying before you make it off the list, a reality for so many families, just should happen.
