i have joined the World Challenge Tring School Expedition to Sri Lanka in 2018

I will be travelling to Colombo before heading to the Knuckles mountain range for 3 days of trekking. The mountainous Knuckles Range is home to some of Sri Lanka’s rarest and endemic species of animals. After the trek the we will be heading off to complete a community project and will be working with local communities. Before embarking on some well deserved rest and relaxation, we will be completing one last trek which involves 5200 steps up a mountain called Adam’s peak hopefully we will make the summit for sunrise.

I have to raise a large proportion of the cost of £3050 to fund my entire expedition which includes flights, accommodation, equipment, insurance etc. I plan to do this by obtaining a part time job, organising fundraising activities such as a Race Night at Tring Park Cricket Club, Cat Sitting, Baby Sitting, Selling Homemade Crafts at School Fayres and Fetes and donations.

Any donations, no matter how big or small will be very much appreciated and will help fund my once in a lifetime trip and allow me to hopefully make a difference to those less fortunate than ourselves,

i will post updates on any fund raising activities over the next year and send a report on the trip and the community project we complete once I am back from Sri Lanka.
