Story
As a lot of you know I am Practice Manager at St Pauls Veterinary Clinic. I have always worked very closely with lots of rescue centre's and take in animals, treat them and then find them a space in a centre for rehoming.
I sometimes need to ask for your help to fund them and this is one of those times.
Please meet this gorgeous pair. We have a 6 month old saluki lurcher Bentley and a 3 year old male cat Loopy, both in need of surgery that is requiring specialist help.
The puppy has a broken leg and I am driving her to a specialist centre in the midlands that has agreed to reduce their charges to help her. The surgeon, Jon, is then going to repair the fracture and she will come back to us for the ongoing pain relief and post operative care.
Loopy needs his ear removing and then wound management. He is currently receiving intravenous fluids ready for this procedure as he was dehydrated and had maggots in his ear.
If you could spare anything I would be so grateful as will this gorgeous pair. xx

4 years agoSo Bentley now Jess has started the road to recovery, her surgery has gone well and she loves her new family. Thank you so much for making this possible for her. Sadly Loopy the cat had his surgery but the results were poor, we had to say good-bye as his wounds could not heal due to the cancerous areas. He was spoilt rotten in the last few weeks enjoying all of the cuddles that we could give. He strutted around the clinic like he owned it and he enjoyed his chicken and tuna meals. He's now pain free and felt love in his last few weeks.

4 years agoThanks everyone for all of your support with both Bentley and Loopy. Bentley, now Jess, has had her surgery and it has all gone so well. Double bonus for Jess is that one of the fantastic nursing team has offered her a home, so she is now a Derby resident. Loopy has also had his surgery and sadly it has come back that he has a malignant cancer that we are unable to completely remove so we are looking for an end of life home for him, please get in touch if you can offer this and spoil him. Thanks again for your generosity. Vicky xx
