Story
So many people have asked if there is a charity donation available for the Berkhamsted Advent Windows, that I thought it would be nice to set one up.
As this is a community project I thought it would be nice to put any money raised back into our town and have chosen to fundraise for Berko Food for Friends/Open Door.
On a Tuesday and Thursday evening hot meals are sent out to those in need. A grant was given, which pays for a qualified chef and the meals are delivered by volunteers.
Generally funding is through a grant plus donations.
There is also a 24/7 pantry outside Open Door for anyone who needs it, which is run by volunteers relying on donations of food.
All donations would go towards feeding fellow town members in our lovely community.
Berkhamsted Advent Windows start December 1st and will be on display until January 5th. Please head to our facebook group for map details.
