We are one of the few local villages that does not have festive lights at Christmas. Berkswell is a fantastic village. I believe that our residents and visitors deserve a truly wonderful display of Christmas lights to be enjoyed year after year. I have investigated the cost of purchasing and installing lights with the local council and they have indicated that this will cost in the region of £1000 per street light. The long term aim is to have 10 street lights. However my objective is to raise money to fund 3-5 lights for Christmas 2019 and the remainder by 2020.

To raise funds I am cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End starting on 16th September 2018 and finishing 14 days later, covering circa 70 miles a day. For company my friend Stuart will be joining me cycling in a converted bath raising money for Macmillan.
