Story
On 01-12-2025, my close friend and colleague’s home in Brixworth, Northampton — the home of the Berryman family — was severely damaged in a kitchen fire. No one was home at the time except one of their dogs, who was rescued by a brave neighbour. Their other dog and two young children were safely away.
The kitchen has been completely destroyed, with doors, windows, and fixtures melted by the heat. The entire downstairs is covered in thick smoke damage, and smoke has travelled throughout the property. While not everything was physically burned, almost all belongings are now heavily smoke-damaged and the family has been told by insurance that they will be out of the house for months.
This has happened right before Christmas, leaving the Berrymans overwhelmed and trying to rebuild their day-to-day life from a difficult situation.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Emergency accommodation while the home is uninhabitable
• Replacement of essential household items ruined by smoke
• Clothing and immediate necessities for the children
• Food and supplies for their two dogs
• Ongoing travel, cleanup, and living costs
• Helping the children still experience Christmas during a difficult time
Every donation goes directly toward supporting the Berryman family as they get back on their feet. If you cannot donate, sharing the page helps greatly.
Thank you to everyone offering support during this challenging time.
