Story

Pip was born 10 months ago when i rescued her pregnant mother from being used for breeding. The conditions the cats were in were awful, kittens who were sick were being left to die on the sofa with "green stuff pumping out of both ends". NO medical attention was sought for these animals who were left to die in extreme pain and discomfort.

She has been ill on and off constantly since shortly after birth. After several courses of various antibiotics which appeared to work initially- whereupon she started going downhill before each course had finished- until the last more serious deterioration, a vet i saw immediately suspected Portosystemic Shunt which was confirmed by a blood test.

She needs an ultrasound scan to establish whether the blood vessel is on the inside or the outside of her liver, if the vessel is on the inside she will have to go for a specialist operation which will be in the region of £2000+

Without the operation she will have a hugely reduced lifespan, with the operation she can live a full life.
