Fragile (or whatever name you gave him :-) is the white goose who has lived at Rivelin for years. So many of us loved him, fed him, photographed him, laughed at his honks, and watched him swim over the second he spotted us.

This week he was attacked by a dog and badly injured. His beak was bleeding and it was feared he might never be able to feed again. Thankfully, after urgent vet treatment, the bite had not gone through his hard palate although he is receiving ongoing care to try and prevent it getting worse. He is now safe at Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary and Rescue, receiving antibiotics, pain relief and ongoing specialist vet care.

His care is ongoing. His vet bills are ongoing. And Linjoy relies entirely on donations to fund treatment — not just for Fragile, but for all the injured wildlife they rescue.
