Hi,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page! This summer I will be spending one month volunteering in New Delhi, India with International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ).

I have been selected to take part in the Slum Teaching program, which focuses on the children living in the many slums on the outskirts of Delhi. Volunteer teachers on this program hold an important role in providing the children within these communities access to basic education along with new opportunities that they would otherwise been deprived of.

The project is greatly valued by the local community, as the volunteers provide a new outlook on lessons and offer much needed support to the teachers in the extremely busy school. My month in Delhi will be spent giving English lessons, introducing the children to new activities and helping them to have a little fun after school too!

I have set up this page in the hope of raising any money which will contribute to the cost of my IVHQ fees for the project. This money will not be used to pay for my flights, insurance, administration fees or any travelling I do in my free time around India and SEA. The money raised here will go straight to IVHQ to cover the costs of the teaching project itself.

I also hope to be able to buy extra stationary supplies for the children once I arrive in Delhi. As the school struggles with funding, even the most basic of equipment is often difficult to come by, such as pencils and crayons. Any money raised here will therefore also go towards my donations of supplies to the children.

Any donation, no matter how small, would be so much appreciated and will help me to play a small part in a truly valued community project in Delhi this summer.
