I am currently in The Priory, a psychiatric unit in Altrincham. I have suffered with mental health issues since aged 9 and currently suffer with depression and borderline personality disorder. Sadly due to lack of support from the NHS due to the funding lacking in the mental health sector I have had to self fund treatment. I am a huge advocate for the NHS and would never want to lose the NHS, I just wish we could do more for mental health. It's the biggest killer in men under 55 and that breaks my heart. i have been admitted for 10 days but do not feel this is enough for me to recover and live a normal life. If you feel you can help me raise money to fund my care, please do. I am desperate to get better. I want to live a normal life. I want to be okay and I feel this is the only way. I'm lucky to have a supportive family who have paid for as much as they can but there is only so much they can do, they have funded my therapy for years and we just don't have the funds any more. anything spare you have to help me will help save my life. 5K will pay for around 6 days of more inpatient care but if I can raise any more than 5K that would be amazing to help me stay longer Thank you and help me pay for my aftercare.
