I've raised £1000 to help me and my hubby buy a Multimac carseat (£1500) or 2nd hand people-carrier so we can adopt a group of 3 sisters, keeping them together.

Story

Isn’t it sad that carseats has to be a major deciding factor towards adopting our family?

Me and my husband have found a group of 3 beautiful little girls who have been waiting over a year together for a family in foster care. They are all very young, too young, to have have suffered - and endured - what they have together. Unfortunately in the UK care system there are many groups of siblings waiting for a long time to be placed. The fate of many groups of 3 is they are split up for the duration of their childhood, if a family isn’t found.

Unfortunately, despite being willing and able to take them, our cars are not! My husband has a company ford fiesta (non negotiable) and i have a Mazda 2, which we have found - to our shock -a nightmare to find carseats for the differing ages needed to fit side by side safely, comfortably and sanely in either. Out best option is to sell my car and upgrade to a 2nd hand people carrier (approx £1000-£2000), or invest in a multimac car seat (approx £1500) that we can fit safely and swap between both our cars.

Had we grown our family naturally (and less instantaneously!) this is of course what I would have done, but we would have had more time to anticipate, plan and save up for the expense of adding on a 3rd baby. But this initial expense would hit us hard, as we will already have to buy everything else for three children from scratch - at once!

Any assistance with this one off purchase would be greatly appreciated when adopting this group of 3 sisters, helping us start our family, while keeping them together.
