Beth's wheelchair is vital to allow her to live as independently as possible. Beth's wheelchair provides a range of movement to allow her to remain comfortable, to help with the provision of care and to allow her to work. It also enables her to drive her car from her chair. With her wheelchair, Beth is able to live a full life in the community, at work and at home. Her current wheelchair is reaching the end of its life and without a replacement Beth will not be able to participate in her hobbies, her work or to spend as much quality time with her daughter.

Beth has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Type 2), which is a lifelong condition. In order to help Beth to maintain her strength, mobility and independence a wheelchair that can tilt, recline, raise/lower, have adjustable footrests and is compact enough to access almost all spaces is required.

Electric Powerchairs of this type are phenomenally expensive, any support that can be given with that will be very generous and most appreciated.

All of the money raised will be held in a separate account by Beth and used only for the purchase of the Balder Powerchair that she requires, with any surplus used for maintenance of that wheelchair.
