Story

After the horrid time my little family have been through recently in July when our gorgeous 4 month old baby boy got Meningitis and we came very close to losing him. We know just how lucky we are to still have him we still have a long way to go recovery wise but we believe it truly is a miracle . A miracle due massively to the amazing children's ward and A&E staff at Furness General hospital who absolutely 100% saved his life that night. One nurse in particular went above and beyond she was meant to go home at 8pm but stayed until we left at 3:30am. They also looked after him brilliantly when we came back from Manchester to recover and complete some of his medication on the childrens ward. Which brings me to the point of this which is that i have decided that i would really like to raise some money for childrens ward at FGH for them to buy some more sensory equipment (lights toys etc) for children and babies like George who now being left deaf by this horrendous infection benefited hugely from these when he was there. They have one set at the moment and i would like to get them some more. To do this i have decided that i am going to CUT ALL MY LONG HAIR OFF. Those who know me well know that this is a HUGE deal for me as i am overly precious about my long hair and have had it like this since i was a child but i hope i can really raise a good amount of money doing it. I will also be donating the hair that's cut off to a cancer charity as i would like as much good to come from this as possible.
