I've raised £1800 to help fund a 2 month volunteering trip to Fiji with Think Pacific

In April 2019 I will be heading to the Fijian Islands to do a two month expedition with a small charity called Think Pacific. They are directly partnered with the Fijian government to improve the lives of thousands of Fijian children living in deprived and remote villages through education and school projects. The charity’s mission is to empower disadvantaged youth to overcome poverty issues and achieve holistic health. They achieve this by improving education, sports development, infrastructure assistance and health promotion.
Throughout the 2 months, I will be living in a remote Fijian village, volunteering in the local school. My days will be filled with helping provide one to one tuition in maths and English, coaching a wide variety of sports and other extracurricular activities. As a group of volunteers we will also be involved in a building project.
Think Pacific is an amazing charity, and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to volunteer with the Fijian children, whilst also immersing myself in the local culture. To find out more about the charity, and everything i’ll be getting up to, have a look at their website- https://thinkpacific.com
My aim is to raise £1800, which is the cost of the project. 33% of this will go directly to the charity and it’s sustainability. This money goes towards school and sports resources for volunteer project schools as well as school resources for 20,000 + children annually across rural areas. To help achieve my fundraising goal, I am setting off on a sponsored walk (The Northumberland Coastal Path) on January 3rd. This is a 62 mile walk that I will be completing over the course of three days. I would be very grateful for any sponsorship for this walk and project!
