I’m so excited to have been chosen to represent my Uni to undertake an elective nursing placement in Fort Portal, Uganda. 👩🏽‍⚕️💉 I will be traveling with the charity organisation, Knowledge for Change and will be spending a month volunteering in Africa. Some of the placement locations will include ward and operating theatre-based placements in large urban hospitals; small rural health centres and community outreach programmes with local charity organisations. This costs around £1500 per student which includes a generous donation to the Knowledge for Change charities that help support nurses in Uganda and local health facilities. The remaining funding is to get us over there and work, as well as allow these amazing placement opportunities. With your help I’d love to be able to achieve £500 to help me reach this amount to donate to the charity.

By volunteering for 4 weeks I will hope to make a positive impact on a community in great need, and I know it will make a big impact on my life as being something I can look back on and use in my future career as a nurse. SO excited! ❤️
