I've raised £250 to help fund a clean water project in Ethiopia, alongside Charity:Water

In Africa alone, women and girls spend 40 billion hours a year walking for water. Imagine what they could achieve if they didn't need to…
On March 24th I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for the Cottman Foundation (www.cottmanfoundation.org ) which is aiming to raise £7,500 by the end of June in order to fund a clean water project in Ethiopia alongside Charity:Water (https://www.charitywater.org/ ). This project will serve a community of 500 people and change their lives forever.
The impacts of dirty water are countless but include extensive health issues, extreme poverty, marginalisation of young girls (who are often charged with collecting water rather than attending school) and an increase risk of violence being inflicted on those young girls who have to make that journey. By contrast, bringing clean water to a community is transformative. It brings health, safety, a potential source of industry and pride. The impact is enormous.
Please support me and donate to this great cause. All donations in March will be doubled by the Cottman Foundation.
