I've raised £300 to by climbing Blencathra mountain in the Lake District to help Fund my trip to The 24th World Scout Jamboree America 2019

As you all know I've been asked to be a volunteer leader at the World scout Jamboree in July 2019 in the USA, I've been fundraising since last year and I'm nearly there - I'm on the home straight as they would say....well I say "straight" - there's a huge mountain in the way - it goes by the name of Blencathra..
I'm taking part in a sponsored mountain hike up Blencathra on June 8th along with 3 other very kind people (I need to say that - they have agreed to climb a mountain for me - thank you Sue, Karen and Adam) we are aiming to raise the last bit of funding that I need to get to the USA.
As many of you are aware, scouting means an awful lot to me and my family, scouting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm the fourth generation of scouts in my family, with my Dad, Grandad and great Grandad being Group Scout Leaders now and in the past. I've been brought up with scouting and I share the same love for it as my family does.
I know how much it would mean to my late Grandad Fred to know that I will be taking part in the Jamboree - the first person in the family to be offered the chance to go - with his fundraising skills the money would have been raised by now if he had still been with us - but I know that he will be there in spirit with me.
We will be travelling to the Lake District on June 7th, camping at Threlkeld Hall caravan park in my cousin Karen's camper van - this should be fun(Sue doesn't do camping - its 5-star all the way with this lady - not sure how she will do without the usual champagne and butler service).
I'm asking everyone for a small donation - with the idea that the more people I has that you all wont miss a £1 -£2 from your purses and wallets - feel free to give more if you are feeling generous.
There's still room for a few of you to join us if you'd like to climb a mountain - let me know.
Thank you
Beth xx
