Story
As many of you are already aware, I am currently undertaking my paediatric nurse training. As part of my final year of training I have to complete an elective placement of my choice. I have chosen to travel to Uganda in June 2018 for four weeks as part of the Nurse Uganda volunteering program.
For this to be possible I will need to raise £2,800. While I am there, I will be sharing my skills and gaining experience within the developing world. The money raised will also help fund vital, and often lifesaving, treatment for individuals and communities of whom I will meet during my time in Uganda.
During my time in Uganda I will be working alongside charities such as KISS, Hands for hope and KIDS Club Kampala. I will work within both acute and community healthcare settings and have the opportunity to deliver health education to the children.
I am really looking forward to this experience and any donations will be truly appreciated.

7 years agoThanks to everyone who has supported me so far. So just a little update to let people know about my first fundraising event coming up in September. This will be the first of many fundraising events. At the end of September, I will be completing a 5 km run with a group of other student nurses who will be joining me in Uganda. Thanks again!!
