Story

Running 5km race and 50miles over the course of January.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page, I really appreciate it.

As some people probably know I was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder in 2016 and I received treatment at the Child Development Centre (CDC) in Kempston, Bedfordshire. I spent over an hour there every week for a year with the amazing physiotherapists. After all their hard work I feel like I should try and give back a little bit to everyone who has worked with me. Loosing the use of my left leg meaning I had to rely heavily on crutches. However, with the amazing support of my physio it meant that both mentally and physically I progressed and progressed meaning that I have got to where I am today. As well as being able to walk I am now able to run. Therefore, I will be running with Eloise 50miles over the course of a month and then also a 5km race with a special friend.

There are several different facilities at the child development centre including a variety of different sized gymnasiums, soft equipment rooms and also a hydrotherapy pool. By raising money for CDC it allows them to spend money on new necessary equipment and other services that can help change the lives of other young people.

My family and I are eternally grateful for all the support that CDC gave me and allowed me to progress to where I am today and living my life free of crutches!
