Story

The need here is overwhelming, the amount of people that have lost their homes and possessions is devestating, we are working as hard as we can to help people in their journey to recovery.

A lot of trees have fallen on roofs and the hurricane winds have blown tiles off, so one of our main jobs is currently securing tarps over holes in roofs to prevent further water damage.

As a result of the flooding, we are clearing out and gutting homes to help them dry out and prevent mould growing which can result in the homes being condemned.

We will also be distributing food to a community that is 90% low income elderly residents, and during those visits checking if there is any practicle help they need.

As volunteers we need to raise support towards all of our costs including safety equiptment, uniform, accommodation, food, car hire, gas, flights, insurance etc. If you wanted to help towards keeping us going it would be very much appreciated.

In such a dark time its been a huge blessing to see our hard work result in moments of joy and gratefullness at the small amount we can do towards such a big mess. But we couldnt do this without your support - so thank you for making this happen.
