Story

Thank you for your donation

We would like to thank everyone so much for donating to Beth's fund. We have been overwhelmed by everyones support and kindness to our family. Beth's passing has been classified as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), which affects over 40 children (aged 12 months and older) in England and Wales each year. This rate is higher than child fatalities caused by drowning or fire and yet SUDC is a category of death which largely eludes scientific understanding today.

However, an organisation called the SUDC Foundation carry out pioneering work in research, awareness and support for bereaved families. They receive no public funding so we intend to use part of the money to help with their on-going efforts and as a thank you for their continued amazing support for our family.

Funds will also be donated to Chipstead Valley School towards a rainbow reading garden, again as a gesture of thanks for the compassion and support shown throughout by parents and staff.

The remaining money will be split between the London ambulance service, St Helier hospital, Child Bereavement UK and CRY (Cardiac risk in the young).

Thank you

The Grzywacz and Walker families

xx
