Story

Meet Betty, she is quite literally our super miniture Dauchaund who is the companion dog for a 5 year old little girl with Autism. She is only just over a year old but has made such a huge difference to our daughters life. She soothes sensory related meltdowns, encourages social communication, supports learning and naturally guides her away from danger. Not only that she is the most loving, good natured and usually energetic so it is heart breaking to see her like this and we would all be lost without her.

Betty became ill several weeks ago and is currently being treated at a specialist vets for what they think is an infection in her heart causing it to release clots which are now restricting blood flow in her spine. She has been showing good signs to the treatment given but still needs treatment as an impatient at the specialist vets.

We have insurance but are at our limit and due to my own disabilities and my daughter's additional needs am only able to work part time. We just don't have the money needed to continue the vital treatment needed to give her the best possible chance of a full recovery.

My partner and I are normally very proud about dealing with the problems life throws at us but we're asking for Betty and the little girl whose world revolves around her and we really need your help. Every donation would be grateful received.

Thank you in advance, Mel xx
