Story

As you may know we have visited and have spent a large part of the last eight years in hospitals. If you have ever been unfortunate to have a child who has spent a day, a week or longer in hospital you will fully understand how difficult this can be for every family member. Beulah our eldest daughter (age 10) has taken it upon herself to try and make the experience nicer for children when visiting a hospital.
It is easy to forget that siblings can also have a difficult time, we're very proud of Beulah for taking the time and effort into this, so please help with all you can to help make this a success for her.

Beulah: Please sponsor me for my triathlon!
I will be: swimming 10 lengths - running 1 mile - biking 5 miles!

In reality I will probably find this hard but enjoy it at the same time, (who doesn't love swimming and going on your bike!) but whilst I am doing this there will be children in hospital, visiting / laying in bed / having operations and more.

From experience and asking children in hospital they can feel scared, nervous, anxious and bored, whilst nurses and doctors do all they can we could help too.

My idea s so far are:
Beulah Bear - A teddy for the young ones, imagine having an operation or feel scared and then getting a teddy to hold cuddle and keep. This would make a more positive feel for all.

Beulah's book - A book for the older ones, stories, jokes, crosswords etc. This would help keep their mind distracted, help stop them being bored and worried.

The children's outpatient's area needs a better play area, it makes people anxious and bored when they wait, I think children may be easier to deal with when they get to their appointment if they had more to occupy them.
WHY SHOULD YOU HELP?
The NHS can't help this way, but we can!
If you can help a child in any way, you should!
Helping children today makes a better world tomorrow!
It's nice to be nice!

I'm doing lots to fund raise but the more money, the more I can do! HELP PLEASE!
