I've raised £700 to Raise funds for Cheltenham Department of Critical Care who were truly amazing in saving our Dad’s Life ❤️

As some of you are aware, 2018 didn't start well for our family. Our Dad was unexpectedly admitted to Critical Care at Cheltenham General Hospital on New Year's Eve following routine knee replacement surgery. After lots of tests they found he was suffering from pneumonia, Ecoli and sepsis. He spent 12 days in an induced coma, during which, at times, the doctors weren't sure he would pull through. But with their incredible expertise, he did and continued fighting. Dad spent a total of 30 days in Critical Care before being moved onto a ward to continue his rehabilitation. During this time, the consultants, doctors and nurses left no stone unturned, exploring every possibility whenever there was a slight concern that things weren't progressing as they would expect, from potential infections to brain damage. We will be forever grateful to the truly amazing team at Cheltenham DCC in what they have done for Dad and our family. In order for us to give a little back to them, we have decided to run the Cheltenham Half Marathon to raise much needed funds for their department to help buy equipment and resources to enhance the care that patients receive.
