I want you to meet monty he is a 4 year old staffie and is the most lovable dog. He just wants to be loved all day long . My husband calls him the velcro doggie because he is prayically stuck to my side 24 /7 (even when i need to go to the bathroom. About 7 weeks ago he srted having trouble breathing when we were out walking he would get very short of breath quite quickly. So we took him to the vets who after looking at him thought he may have a chest infection....we are now 6 weeks down the line and monty has had every test under the sun done and nothing is showing up. Last week he went in and had a bronchialoscopy done and they took little bits from his chest and lungs and sent them to pathology they came back fine too they flushed out his lungs in effect drowning him twice but nothing came from that either. We are now at the point where our regular vet can do no more for him and it has cost us just short of £1000 so far. So on tuesday my beautiful monty has to go to see a specialist in Birmingham who deals in breathing problems unfortunately the bill for this has to be paid that day and due to how much it has cost already we are now going to struggle to find the money for this bill which could top nearly £2000 the consultation fee alone is £461.60 that is without any testa, scans & mri's and then any treatment he will need on top of that . I am a very proud person and hate asking for help even though i love giving help but i cant bear the thought of losing monty so i will do whatever it takes to get him well again . This is why i need your help.
